1. What is board to board connector?
The basic concept of board to board connector is to connect different circuit boards together. It is the most powerful connector in all types of connector products. It is mainly used in power system, communication network, financial manufacturing, elevator, industrial automation, medical equipment, office equipment, home appliances, military manufacturing and other industries. At present, the main spacing of board to board connectors are 0.40 mm, 0.50 mm, 0.60 mm, 0.80 mm, 1.00 mm, 1.25 mm, 1.50 mm, 2.00 mm, 2.50 mm, 2.54 mm and 3.96 mm
2. Classification and characteristics of board to board connectors.
Board to board connectors are divided into different types according to different connection modes between circuit boards, and each type has its own characteristics. The following is a brief introduction to this aspect:
Row feet and row feet and row feet, also called row feet, are the most commonly used connection methods. Simple horn application scenarios: low-end, large-scale intelligent devices, development board, debugging board, etc. Advantages: cheap, convenient, firm hard connection, strong over-current capacity, easy wire bonding and testing. Disadvantages: large volume, not easy to bend, large spacing, hundreds of pins are difficult to connect (too large). Second, some simple horn plug high-end board to board inserts have higher density than row pins, which are used for compact products. Application scenario: conventional intelligent hardware products are basically in use and widely used. Advantages: large number of stitches, small size, 1 cm length can do 40 stitches (the same size can only do less than 20 stitches). Disadvantages: the price is expensive, it can't be plugged in and out frequently, and the structure design needs to be fixed well. Third, the thickened board to board connector can be disassembled, merged and inserted on the row pin. Simple horn socket use scenarios: development board, test board, large fixed equipment (such as computer chassis wiring). Advantages: cheap and common, used with pins, connection measurement is very convenient. Disadvantages: large volume, difficult to repair, not suitable for mass production scenarios. Fourth, FPC connector plug-in / ZIF connector many intelligent hardware devices need to pull the signal from the motherboard. FPC is flexible, small in size and changeable in shape, which is the best choice for FPC. Usage scenario: the main board is connected with the auxiliary board, the main board is connected with the peripheral equipment, the circuit is bent, and the product space is compact. Advantages: small and cheap.
